Eleven-time Paralympic medallist Sascha Kindred claimed his second title in as many days in Manchester, winning the MC Men’s 200m Individual Medley final in Manchester.
Kindred (SM6) thrashed the rest of the field winning in a time of 2.45.94 and 934 points, dipping under the IPC European Championships selection time in the process.

His nearest competition Sam Hynd (SM8) took silver in 2:31.62 with 803 points, also enough to guarantee his place at the European Champs in Berlin. Tom Young (SM8) was third with 793 points in 2.32.28.
The women were also in action tonight in the same event.
Natalie Jones (SM6) took gold, beating long-time rival and IPC World Champion Ellie Simmonds as she touched in a time of 3.13.47 for 936 points.
She said: “I've worked so hard over Christmas to get a good block of training in and I'm pleased it is paying off. I am really happy to have won and hopefully I'll get on the podium in Berlin.”
