Sophie Allen strikes gold in Tokyo

Sophie Allen signed off from the Tokyo leg of the FINA World Cup series with a gold medal in the 100m Individual Medley.
The British Gas ITC Stockport swimmer led throughout the race and touched in a personal best time of 59.50 to win her third medal of this leg and her second gold of the series.
She beat former world 400m Individual Medley champion Katinka Hosszu to the gold by half a second.
Ieuan Lloyd finished in seventh place in the 200m Freestyle in a time of 1:46.61, having set a Welsh record of 1:46.17 to qualify for the final.
