In British Swimming you will find information about the world of high performance sport, including the disciplines of Swimming, Diving, Synchronised Swimming, Water Polo and Para-Swimming.

The ASA is the governing body for the sport in England. In this section you will find all you need to know about joining a club or competing in England and becoming a swimming teacher or coach.

The IoS delivers the ASA’s courses and is a member organisation. Whether you are a teacher, coach, employer or club you will find everything you need to know about qualifications or educating your workforce.

British Swimming pays respect to Ian Greyson

Swimming in Britain is mourning following the loss of former City of Leeds head coach Ian Greyson who passed away this week aged 49.

Ian took charge of the Leeds programme in 2003 and placed swimmers on to the Athens Olympic team as well as many senior British teams across the international event spectrum.

In December 2007 Ian moved to work at Leeds Metropolitan University (Leeds Beckett) where he continued to be an extremely popular figure on the pool side at events national camps, national teams. Ian will be sadly missed.

British Swimming and the ASA would like share their condolences with the family.
