Juba appointed Head Coach of Denmark Swimming

5th April 2013

Hatfield’s Nick Juba has been announced as the new Head Coach of Denmark Swimming to drive the sport forward through the next Olympic cycle.

After 20 years as Head Coach of Hatfield Swimming Club, Juba will take up his new position with Denmark on 6th May and is looking forward to his new challenge.

“I am excited but I don’t think it has really sunk in yet,” Juba said.

“They have recently appointed Shannon Rollason who is one of the world’s best sprint coaches and he will take up a role as Head Coach at the National Aquatics Centre.

“Denmark were recently ranked fourth at the World Championships (25m) and I can see that they are on an upward curve. They remind me of Hatfield in the way that they aren’t the biggest country but they have the potential to succeed. I am looking forward to driving the programme forwards and I do wish Britain well for the future.”
