Matthew Johnson shortlisted for AXA Award

City of Sheffield’s Matthew Johnson has been shortlisted for the Ambition AXA Awards after a breakthrough junior season in 2011.

The 16-year old has shown huge potential throughout his junior career, breaking 80 British age group records and winning countless domestic medals.

In 2011, he came of age on the international circuit, winning four golds and a silver at the European Youth Olympic Festival, a gold and two silvers at the Commonwealth Youth Games and putting in a string of impressive performances at the World Junior Championships.
