Miley and Pavoni reach medley finals in Shanghai

British Gas GRB swimmer Hannah Miley was sixth fastest into tonight’s World Championship final of the women’s 400m Individual Medley in Shanghai.
The Scot finished her heat in third in 4:37.39 on the final day in China while teammate Steph Proud missed out, finishing 24th from the heats in a time of 4:48.31.
In the Men's event Roberto Pavoni made his first World Championship final when he qualified in eighth in a time of 4:16.68.
With the top eight from the heats going directly to the final, Joe Roebuck narrowly missed out on progressing as he finished 10th in 4:16.95.
The Men's 4x100m Medley Relay of Liam Tancock, Michael Jamieson, Antony James and Adam Brown are also through to the final after qualifying eighth fastest in 3:36.19.
