In British Swimming you will find information about the world of high performance sport, including the disciplines of Swimming, Diving, Synchronised Swimming, Water Polo and Para-Swimming.

The ASA is the governing body for the sport in England. In this section you will find all you need to know about joining a club or competing in England and becoming a swimming teacher or coach.

The IoS delivers the ASA’s courses and is a member organisation. Whether you are a teacher, coach, employer or club you will find everything you need to know about qualifications or educating your workforce.

British swimmers face head-to-head showdown with Germany

European pride will be at stake when Great Britain’s top swimmers go head-to-head with Germany next month.

The Wales National Pool in Swansea will host the British Gas Great Britain v Germany Swim Meet that will see straight finals contested for on 20th and 21st February.

Rock steals the show while Team USA takes victory

The final day of the British Gas Duel in the Pool saw Team USA rule the pool as they earned a 185 point total against E-Stars’ 78 points.

The two-day meet saw eight new world records broken as the world’s top swimmers competed in Manchester in straight head-to-head finals.

The might of Team USA faced up to the swimmers of E-Stars as The British Gas Duel in the Pool got underway in front of a sold-out arena.

With four world and two European records broken already, the competition, taking place at the Manchester Aquatics Centre, sees the Americans top the leader board at the end of the first day with 89 points with the E-Stars team on 33 points as swimmers compete in a straight final to win points for their team.
