Renwick just misses European medal

Robbie Renwick impressed in the middle of hard training to finish fourth in the 400m Freestyle at the European Championships in Debrechen.

Renwick swam his final well from lane eight to sit on the leader's shoulders and lay in fifth place up until the final 50m.

He swam an excellent final length of the pool to move up to fourth and just outside of the medals. His time was 3:50.46.

On day two he swam in the 200m Freestyle and swam a well timed race and qualified in sixth place for the final after touching in 1:48.89.

James Goddard qualified for the final of the 200m Individual Medley with the fifth fastest time. He touched the wall in 2:00.66.
