In British Swimming you will find information about the world of high performance sport, including the disciplines of Swimming, Diving, Synchronised Swimming, Water Polo and Para-Swimming.

The ASA is the governing body for the sport in England. In this section you will find all you need to know about joining a club or competing in England and becoming a swimming teacher or coach.

The IoS delivers the ASA’s courses and is a member organisation. Whether you are a teacher, coach, employer or club you will find everything you need to know about qualifications or educating your workforce.

Turner reaches World University Games final

Rebecca Turner will represent Great Britain in the final of the Women’s 100m freestyle at the World University Games in Kazan, Russia.

The City of Sheffield swimmer inished fourth in her semi-final with a time of 55.79 to book her place in tomorrow's final as eighth fastest qualifier.

Edinburgh University's Caitlin McClatchey was fifth in the same semi but narrowly missed out on a place in the final, finishing 11th overall in 56.04.

The final, which takes place tomorrow (Friday) evening includes London 2012 silver medallist Aliaksandra Herasimenia and USA's Megan Romano.

Turner, who won a bronze medal at the British Swimming Championships last month, will be hoping to win Great Britain's first medal in the pool.
