In British Swimming you will find information about the world of high performance sport, including the disciplines of Swimming, Diving, Synchronised Swimming, Water Polo and Para-Swimming.

The ASA is the governing body for the sport in England. In this section you will find all you need to know about joining a club or competing in England and becoming a swimming teacher or coach.

The IoS delivers the ASA’s courses and is a member organisation. Whether you are a teacher, coach, employer or club you will find everything you need to know about qualifications or educating your workforce.

Chance to see synchro duet

Fans of synchronised swimming have just a few days left to get their tickets to see the British Gas Synchronised Swimming Championships & British Gas ASA National Age Groups, including a demonstration by Duet Jenna Randall and Olivia Allison.

The Champs are taking place at the GL1 Leisure Centre, Bruton Way, Gloucester from Friday 4th to Sunday 6th December 2009.

As well as all the action from the youngsters in the Age Group Champs and the best of British synchro in the senior event, the British Gas Duet and the GB Team will also be giving a demonstration of their skills on the Sunday of the Champs.

Randall and Allison have just returned from the FINA Synchronised Swimming World Trophy in Canada. Randall secured some of her highest marks to take fifth place overall in the Free Solo and the duet were part of the Thematic Team which sealed eighth place ahead of their rivals Brazil.

Tickets to see all the action are on sale at the venue on a first come, first served basis. But with only around 500 seats available each day it’s best to get there early to avoid disappointment.

£10 for 3 days

Programmes are £2 each.

Each paying spectator will receive a free ear piece radio with commentary from Adele Carlson, British Swimming’s High Performance Manager for synchronised swimming, who will also bring with her experience from her own international career. These are subject to availability.
