GOLD AND SILVER HAUL FOR SYNCHRONISED SWIMMERS

Britain’s synchronised swimmers made it a successful final day at the European Masters Championship in Cadiz with a gold and three silvers in the Solo Competition Finals.

Maureen Neivens (Seymour Synchro) took the title in the 70-79yrs category with a score of 62.583 (31.000 Technical Routine/31.583 Free Routine).  Competing as the only athlete in her age group, she added to the gold she took yesterday with Susan Innes in the Duet Final 60-69yrs category.

Emma Harvey (Barnett Copthall) took a silver in the 30-39yrs category with a score of 75.917 (36.917 Technical Routine/39.000 Free Routine) sharing second place with Italy’s Simona Bistazzoni.

Innes (Seymour Synchro) did likewise in the 50-59yrs category with an overall score of 65.334 (31.084 Technical Routine/34.250 Free Routine) and Jeanne Louise Ansley (Pudsey) rounded off the day in the 60-69yrs age group,  scoring 62.084 overall (29.834 Technical Routine/32.250 Free Routine).
