New breed of synchro swimmers selected
31 March 2011
British Synchro has selected a new group of athletes that will make up their Talent Satellite Athletes (TSA) for the coming year.
The initiative is designed to give talented athletes a chance to experience training at the High Performance Centre, Bisham Abbey and get support towards their travel costs.
The girls will train at the home programmes but they progress will be monitored and mentored by National Coach Lolli Montico.
The five athletes are listed below:
- Lucy Bowes – Trafford
- Jorja Brown – Rushmoor
- Sophie Randle – Rugby
- Jade Hearmon – Reading
- Imogen Smith – Rushmoor
Former Talent Satellite Athletes Emily Randall and Ellie Holder have graduated the programme after demonstrating excellent progress. Their improvement over the 2010 season has highlighted their dedication to self improvement and the hard work of their coaches.
Randall is a member of the 2011 National Junior Squad and Holder is a member of the ASA English Development team.
