British Gas Synchronised Swimmer Jenna Randall performed well in her World Championship final and finished a strong ninth in the Solo Free event.

Randall, who has competed in every British synchro event so far this week in Rome, continued to shine with an impressive routine.
The Olympian finished in ninth place with a score of 89.167. Gold went to Russian Natalia Ishchenko with 98.833, silver to Spain's Gemma Mengual with 98.333 and Beatrice Adelizzi of Italy took the bronze with 95.500.
“That swim felt better than yesterday,' said Randall, 'but I am quite disappointed because I wanted more scores above nine.
'My overall performance was good with my eyes and my arms being stronger than yesterday but I need to work on my thrusts and my legs. I also need to work on learning harder figures in order to improve my scores.
'The routine is one of my harder ones and I think I dealt with it pretty well. I kept my energy high towards the end of the routine which was pleasing.'

The British Gas Synchro duet have reached the final of the Duet Free routine after a good performance that saw them finish in 10th place overall.

The routine has been changed slightly since Beijing and sees the girls performing more complicated leg movements and increased speed through the routine.

They finished with a score of 89.833 to seal their first Duet Free final place.

"Yeh we are quite pleased with that performance," Allison said. "That routine is so well known to us and it feels really natural so it was good to be able to perform it at this level."
