Synchro ready for world challenge

19 July 2013

Jenna Randall and Olivia Federici will kick competition off for the British Gas GBR Synchronised Swiming Team at the World Championships in Barcelona.

The 12-strong contingent has been working hard at a training camp in Malta ahead of the competition where they will showcase their improved routines.

“I can’t wait for competition to begin now and get into the pool and show where we are with our Duet and my Solo.” - Jenna Randall Randall and Federici will be using the same Duet routines as they performed at the Olympics in London but the Solo will see new music and choreography.

For Randall returning to World Championship action is an exciting prospect.

“We love competing at the World Championships,” Randall said. “It is a whole different environment than any other competition. Olivia and I aren’t in the Team this year and for me it is quite different to prepare for. I normally compete 14 times but this time I will only be doing eight routines.

“We have six new members who are competing at their first World Championships so we’ve all been sharing our experiences and helping to calm any nerves they might have."
