The ASA is the governing body for the sport in England. In this section you will find all you need to know about joining a club or competing in England and becoming a swimming teacher or coach.

The IoS delivers the ASA’s courses and is a member organisation. Whether you are a teacher, coach, employer or club you will find everything you need to know about qualifications or educating your workforce.

Brits win first match at Malta International

The British Gas GBR Men’s Water Polo team won their opening match 19-8 in an international competition in Malta.

The Brits are using this competition as a warm up for the LEN European Championships Qualifiers in a week’s time.

The team showed good stamina after a break from competing international and used the match as a good workout ahead of Sunderland next week.

Jack Waller was the top scorer for GB with four goals and Tom Curwen, Ciaran James and Sean Ryder all scored three each. Declan Thompson scored in his debut match for his country.

The next match will see the men pitched against Holland.
