James hat-trick helps Cannstatt maintain perfect start

Ciaran James scored his second hat-trick in three games as SV Cannstatt maintained their 100 per cent record in Group B of this season’s German Bundesliga.

The British player has been a revelation for the Stuttgart side and made a huge impact again as they secured their third win in three with a 15-5 defeat of SGW Cologne.
SV Weiden and SC Wedding Berlin picked up their first points of the season after a 9-9 draw in Group A.
Will Middleton found the net for Wedding Berlin while Sean King and Sean Ryder both scored twice for the away team.
Elsewhere, Jake Vincent scored once as his SV Bayer Uerdingen slipped to a 11-8 loss at unbeaten ASC Duisburg while Glen Robinson also bagged a goal in SV Wurzburg’s agonising 4-3 defeat at OSC Postdam.
Rob Parker’s CN Terrassa moved to second in the Spanish Division de Honor as they sealed their third win of the season with an 8-7 defeat of CN Catalunya.
British goalkeeper Ed Scott was also on the winning side in Spain as his CE Mediterrani won 12-7 at CD Turia for their first victory of the season.
Mike Bourne and Ric Lawlor were both in action for Turia with the latter scoring once in their defeat.
Meanwhile, despite a late comeback, Jack Waller’s CN Sant Andreu slipped to a 12-10 defeat at CD Navarra.
Dan Laxton was the only other Brit in action this weekend, scoring twice as his AZ&PC lost 8-6 at home to Widex GZC Donk in the Dutch Cup.
