The ASA is the governing body for the sport in England. In this section you will find all you need to know about joining a club or competing in England and becoming a swimming teacher or coach.

The IoS delivers the ASA’s courses and is a member organisation. Whether you are a teacher, coach, employer or club you will find everything you need to know about qualifications or educating your workforce.

Rodgers secures fantastic five in Berlin

International newcomer Susie Rodgers wins her fifth gold and sixth medal of the Championships, knocking nearly three secconds off her British record to win the S7 100m Freestyle title in 1:12.10.

Fox completes European hat-trick

Jonathan Fox completes his hat-trick of individual titles in Berlin, winning the S7 100m Freestyle in a personal best 1:03.83 to add to his S7 400m Freestyle and 100m Backstroke wins from earlier in the week.

Oli celebrates debut Medley gold

Sixteen-year old Oliver Hynd wins SM8 200m Individual Medley gold on his international debut, smashing his older brother Sam's European record with a winning time of 2:25.75.

Rhiannon cruises to Freestyle gold in British record

Rhiannon Henry times her S13 100m Freestyle final to perfection, turning second before turning on the motor in the final 25m to take her second gold of the week in a British record 1:00.95.

Stephens steals silver in punishing 200 Free final

Anthony Stephens collects his third silver and fourth individual medal of the week, clocking 2:47.44 in a gruelling S5 200m Freestyle final.

World record for Medley Relay girls to finish competition

Heather Frederiksen, Claire Cashmore, Stephanie Millward and Louise Watkin finish the competition with a world record to win the 34pt 4x100m Medley Relay.

  • Emma Hollis wins her fifth medal of the Championships, clocking a three second personal best to win SM8 200m Individual Medley silver in 2:59.46.
  • Stephanie Millward (1:11.62) and Claire Cashmore (1:12.07) both reach the podium in the S9 100m Butterfly, winning silver and bronze medals respectively.
  • Ellie Simmonds wins her fourth medal of the Championships, taking S6 100m Freestyle silver in 1:16.35 with teammate Natalie Jones following her home for bronze in 1:21.54.
