In British Swimming you will find information about the world of high performance sport, including the disciplines of Swimming, Diving, Synchronised Swimming, Water Polo and Para-Swimming.

The ASA is the governing body for the sport in England. In this section you will find all you need to know about joining a club or competing in England and becoming a swimming teacher or coach.

The IoS delivers the ASA’s courses and is a member organisation. Whether you are a teacher, coach, employer or club you will find everything you need to know about qualifications or educating your workforce.

Daniel Pepper

Daniel Pepper is one of the world’s best S14 swimmers, having won multiple gold medals at World and European level.

He showed his potential by winning MC 100m Breaststroke gold at the 2004 British Championships then six medals across the MC events at the 2006 British Champs.

He made his IPC Swimming European Championship debut in Reykjavik three years later and impressed to win a hat-trick of golds in the 100m Freestyle, 100m Breaststroke and 200m Individual Medley.

Further honours came in 2010 and 2011 as Pepper the world crowns over 100m Freestyle and 100m Breaststroke in Eindhoven, then added the European 200m Free title in Berlin the following year.

He made his Paralympic bow at London 2012, reaching two finals and finishing seventh over both 200m Freestyle and 100m Breaststroke, then returned to the international podium at the 2013 World Championships in Montreal, winning SM14 200m Individual Medley silver.
