In British Swimming you will find information about the world of high performance sport, including the disciplines of Swimming, Diving, Synchronised Swimming, Water Polo and Para-Swimming.

The ASA is the governing body for the sport in England. In this section you will find all you need to know about joining a club or competing in England and becoming a swimming teacher or coach.

The IoS delivers the ASA’s courses and is a member organisation. Whether you are a teacher, coach, employer or club you will find everything you need to know about qualifications or educating your workforce.

Chloe Davies

Chloe Davies’ breakthrough moment came in 2011 when she broke the British S14 short course 200m Backstroke record at the tender age of 12.

In the same year she helped herself to a silver in MC 200m Freestyle and bronze in MC 100m Backstroke at the British Gas ASA National Youth Championships.

After winning a bronze medal in MC 200m Freestyle in her first British Gas Swimming Championships the following year, 13-year old Davies was selected as the youngest competitor to represent Paralympics GB at the London 2012 Paralympic Games.

She impressed on her Paralympic debut, qualifying with the fastest time from the heats for the S14 100m Backstroke, eventually finishing within the top five.

Her rapid progress continued in 2014 as she was selected for the British team for the 2013 IPC Swimming World Championships, going on to take bronze in the S14 200m Individual Medley, Davies’ first medal at a major international meet.
