Elite Athlete Code of Conduct

There are a number of legal obligations that come with the title of elite athlete. Read below to find out more about them

When swimmers accept an offer of selection to become a member of a Great Britain senior or junior team, in any of the disciplines of the sport of swimming, they sign up to a legal understanding about what is expected of them.

A new Code of Conduct has been approved by British Swimming and specialist sports lawyers representing the interests of team members/elite athletes. The new Code of Conduct will be effective from 20th October 2014.
