In the Pool

Greatest achievement to date: Difficult to say as I have done and achieved so many things very young. British Senior Champs medal aged 14. First GB call up open Water aged 14. 43 National titles up to 16 and four individual golds at the European Youth Olympics.

Aspirations: To be the best by working hard and break new ground.

Greatest influence: My parents - without them I can't swim!

Swimming goals: Simple! Olympic gold.

When did you begin swimming: I did my swimming certificates aged six and then joined my local club Spenborough a couple of years later.

Out of the Pool

Ultimate relaxation: Doing nothing, playing Xbox and giving my younger brother Luke a bit of grief.

Tip for the top: Take defeat as a indicator to improve and then work on putting it right.

Life after swimming: I'm not sure at the moment. It’s a toss up between two things, my own business in sports motivation, psychology and mentoring or Media and Sports management.

How would you like to be remembered: Hard-working and humble.

Favourites

Films: Snatch and Transformers.

Band/Music: I listen to music dependant on what mood I am in so I have no real favourite.

Food: Roast dinner with Yorkshire pudding.

Hobbies: Xbox and sleeping.

Last book read: Unexplained mysteries.
