In the Pool

Greatest achievement to date: 100m Buttefly at the 2008 Olympic Trials. It was my biggest achievement so far, breaking the British Record in the heats. I then won the final and qualified for Beijing.

Who has been greatest influence on you: Mum and Dad, so supportive. They know how to pick me up if I don’t swim well.

Out of the Pool

One thing you can’t live without: Watch which my friends all chipped in to buy me before I went to the Offshore Centre School in Australia when I was 16.

Tip for the top: Master your technique first and never give in.

Life after swimming: Have a degree in law and to pursue that as a career. Be happy and I will maintain an interest in swimming.

Band/Music: All types of music. I like Bon Jovi
