In the Pool
Greatest achievement to date: Can I have two? European Junior Championships 2007 and the Japan International Meet 2007. At the EJC, on the final day of the competition, I won 3 gold medals, 100m Backstroke, 200m I.M and as part of the medley relay team. Unfortunately, I couldn’t collect my first two medals though as I had to prepare for my next event. Japan was great because I smashed my PB for the 200mBackstroke against a world class field.
Aspiration: To win Olympic gold at some point, and simply enjoy my swimming career.
Who has been greatest influence on you: Family, friends and coaches. I have a really good support group around me.
Out of the Pool
One thing you can’t live without: Laptop. It use to be my mobile!
Tip for the top: Believe in yourself and enjoy.
Life after swimming? Maybe university. It is difficult to think beyond swimming as it is happening now and I am really focused on that.
Favourites
Band/Music: A bit of everything, nothing specific
