Rebecca Turner

Rebecca Turner enjoyed a consistent junior career, winning 4x200m Freestyle Relay gold at the 2007 and 2008 European Juniors as well as silver in the same event at the 2008 World Youth Championships.

She gradually made the difficult transition to senior swimming, winning her first British Champs medal with 100m Freestyle bronze in 2011.

After finishing an agonising fourth in the 200m Freestyle at the 2011 European Short Course Champs, Rebecca announced herself as a serious individual contender at the 2012 British Champs where she won her first British gold over 200m Freestyle to qualify for London 2012.

She finished 17th in the 200m Free on her Olympic debut and also competed with the British quartet as they finished fifth in the 4x200m Freestyle Relay.

After collecting another two British medals in 2013, Turner returned to the international stage in 2014, winning two relay medals on her Commonwealth Games debut for England at Glasgow 2014, then competing in the 100m Freestyle and 4x200m Freestyle Relay at the European Championships in Berlin.
