Sophie Taylor

Sophie Taylor showed her international potential as a 14-year old, clocking a personal best to claim 100m Breaststroke bronze at the 2010 Berlin International Swim Meet.

Two seasons later, Taylor made her senior domestic breakthrough, reaching her first British final and ducking under 1:10 for the first time to finish fourth in the 100m Breaststroke at the 2012 British Gas Swimming Championships in London.

A call up to her first European Junior Championships quickly followed and she won two medals in Antwerp – 50m Breaststroke silver and 200m Breaststroke bronze.

After winning bronze across all three breaststroke distances at the 2013 British Gas Swimming Championships, Taylor was one of the stars of the GB team at the World Junior Championships in Dubai, winning 100m Breaststroke and 4x100m Medley Relay silvers as well as bronze in the 50m Breast.
