IN THE POOL

Favourite event: 200m IM – it’s more interesting as you do each stroke. It is shorter than the 400m IM, I can manage 50m of each stroke!

Finest ever performance and why: 2003 Paris Youth Olympics. Won two gold medals and a bronze, my first international event.

First senior international meet: 2005 European Short Course. It was great to experience competing with the top swimmers.

Role models: No one really, although people who achieve their goals and dreams.

My aspirations are: To qualify for the Olympics in 2012.

Biggest influence on career: Parents and coach.

OUT OF THE POOL

Most prized possession: My mobile.

Tip for the top: Hard work and dedication.

Describe yourself in three words: Happy, Dedicated, Hard-working.

Life after swimming: A very good question! Would like to get my swimming teaching qualifications as a starting point.

FAVOURITES

Music: I like RnB, also Michael Jackson.
