Jenna Randall blog: Filming for Kylie
25 November 2010
Five of the Great Britain Synchronised Swimming team - me, Katie Skelton, Asha Randall, Katie Dawkins and Olivia Allison - got to work on the set of Kylie Minogue’s tour visual shoot for her new tour Aphrodite this week!
We had a couple of days of rehearsals, learning a routine in the water, and then on Tuesday we spent the day filming the routine.
The routine will hopefully be shown at her concert so if you're there, make sure you look out for us on the big screens!
It took quite a long time to record loads of different angle shots and views of the shapes we were making.
Unfortunately we didn't get to meet Kylie herself but we all had lots of fun and it was great to meet some incredibly talented people.
This routine will hopefully be shown in her concert (fingers crossed!), so if you're going to see it, make sure you look out for the synchronised swimmers on the big screens!
The whole of the team are now back into full time training in Aldershot and we're working really hard for our next competitive season in 2011.
We have recently just finished choreographing our new Combo routine for next season. We will be performing it for the first time at the National Age Group Championships on Saturday 4 December in Gloucester at 3.30pm, so come along and be one of the first people to see our new exciting routine!
You will also get to see Lauren Smith perform her Commonwealth bronze-winning Free Solo routine that she swam at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi.
