Jodie Cowie’s GB Journey: Week Seven

19th March 2013

In January 2013, 15-year old Jodie Cowie was selected to train with the British Gas GBR Synchronised Swimming Team. She decided to write a blog to keep track of her exciting first year with the team.

Hello everyone.

There’s not much going on at the moment but I’ve got a few new things to talk about.

Our coach Lolli came back on Monday after being away for two weeks (one week with the duet for their competition in Germany and then a few days at home in Italy). It’s really nice to have her back, but she’s expecting a big improvement since she has been gone!

We have recently found out that we will be going for a dance workshop at Pineapple Studios soon – I think we’re going to be learning to do the Tango! Not sure how good I’m going to be at it but i expect it will be a lot of fun.

ImageBack at home, things haven’t been going quite so well – on the cooking side of things that is! My housemate Lucy and I tried to cook some food in the oven on Friday, but either we left it in too long or it was too hot because it ended up looking a little burnt!

It’s already been a tough week this week and we’re only on day two. It’s very hard but I know it’s because they want to push us so we can be the best we can be!

So it’s been a short update this time but I’m sure soon enough there will be plenty to add.
