After training and successfully becoming a registered official with British Swimming, you will want to consider whether you need a license. From 2013 only licensed technical officials will be able to officiate at National level events/ championships.
The Officials Licensing Scheme is administered by the Institute of Swimming (IoS) - applying for a licence demonstrates that, as well as holding a recognised qualification, you are keeping up-to-date with the rules of the sport.
Registered officials can download the Licence Application form for NEW officials here.
Existing Licence holders can RE-NEW their licence here.
Information for promoters
British Swimming and the ASA has a list of Synchronised Swimming Officials who are competent to officiate at National and International events, consisting of Referees, Judges and Scorers. All officials on the list must be members of affiliated clubs.
