In the Pool

Aspirations: I have always wanted to go to an Olympic Games, the 2012 Olympic Games in London that would be amazing to go to, especially as it is a home Games!

Training regime: While I have been in the squad, I train five days a week in Aldershot at the high performace centre. Both pool and land training and one day a week at Bisham Abbey which is more land training. Monday to Friday I train from 7-4 approximately. Some days we finish earlier and some days slightly later depending on our individual programes.

Who has been greatest influence on you: My coach back at club Karen and both of my parents who have been so supportive towards my synchro career.

When did you begin synchro: I joined Bristol Central Swimming Club when I was nine and began doing Synchro pretty much straight away!

Out of the Pool

Family members: I have two brothers who are also very sporty and competetive, the youngest Gregor who plays tennis and cricket and my older brother Stefan is a football referee!

Studies: I studied at Bristol Grammar School, close to home, where I did my AS levels in chemistry, biology, psychology and maths. I am planning on resuming my A level studies after the 2012 Olympics.

Ultimate relaxation: Have a bubble bath.

One thing you can’t live without: Greek yoghurt.

Last book read: The Highway Code.

Tip for the top: 'If you only do what you've always done, you'll only get what you've always given!' This is a quote that my speed coach said to us and i think it is great.

Life after swimming: I would like to go to university and study dentistry and have a big family!

Favourites

Films: Gladiator and The Notebook.

Food: Greek Yoghurt and Steak (not together).
