Go Swimming has everything you need to know about swimming. If you are a parent, a non swimmer or just want to improve your technique this is the section for you.

In British Swimming you will find information about the world of high performance sport, including the disciplines of Swimming, Diving, Synchronised Swimming, Water Polo and Para-Swimming.

The ASA is the governing body for the sport in England. In this section you will find all you need to know about joining a club or competing in England and becoming a swimming teacher or coach.

The IoS delivers the ASA’s courses and is a member organisation. Whether you are a teacher, coach, employer or club you will find everything you need to know about qualifications or educating your workforce.

In the Pool

Aspirations: To compete in the duet and team in the Olympics for Team GB. 

Finest ever performance: Competing at the World Championships 2013 and finishing in 11th in the Team Free.

Who has been greatest influence on you: Teammates, coaches, family and Jenny Gray.

When did you begin synchro: When I was eight, I started at Preston Synchronised Swimming.

Out of the Pool

Family members: My sister was the reason I started synchro. She has quit now but she was a big influence on me. My mum and dad were both very good cyclists. My mum did both track and road cycling whereas my dad just specialised on the road. They were both very good!

Studies: Full time athlete, I go to school one day a week on a Wednesday and go in the afternoons on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Ultimate relaxation: Listing to music.

One thing you can’t live without: Music.

Tip for the top: Just keep trying and don’t give up. You’re the only one that can control yourself so make every moment as best as it can be.

Life after swimming: Army.


Sports: Synchronised Swimming, cycling, rugby, football, cricket.

Films: Anything but thrillers.
