Blog from the East - GB versus Georgia summary
The men’s water polo team were in action in Tbilisi taking on the Ukraine, Belarus and Georgia. GB won the first match and the second. but did they beat Georgia? Find out with British Water Polo’s World Class Programmes Manager Joanna Wray’s summary below.
After beating Ukraine 8-5 and Belarus 13-6, the final game of the GB men's team tournament in Tblisi was against the home team Georgia.
At half time the score was 4-3 to GB, however, by the third quarter Georgia had taken a slim lead with a score 5-6.
GB fought until the end with some interesting decisions throughout the match and a lot of exclusions.
The end score saw GB 10-7 down. Wel done to Rob Parker who secured both top scorer and best player of the tournament.
