Scholefield fires PVSK back to winning ways in Hungary
14 February 2011
Adam Scholefield fired PVSK-Fuszert back to winning ways in the Hungarian National League.
The British player scored his team’s second goal in the first quarter of a tight match in Pecs, with the home side ultimately prevailing 10-9 against BVSC Zuglo.
Great Britain captain Craig Figes’ team UNSW Wests Magpies continued their unbeaten start to the season in the Australian National League.
Figes spearheaded the Wests attack; scoring four times in a 14-8 defeat of Fyfe Adelaide Jets on Saturday and a hat-trick against the same opposition in a 15-7 win a day later.
In the Dutch Hoofdklasse, Dan Laxton also bagged a hat-trick as AZ&PC secured a 12-6 victory over UZSC, for whom Alex Parsonage scored once.
Parsonage had more luck in Utrecht’s midweek fixture as they secured a 12-12 draw with De Zijl (SG).
Finally, two goals each from Ric Lawlor and Mike Bourne wasn’t enough to prevent PSV Eindhoven slipping to a defeat against title-chasers Widex GZC Donk.
