Matt Holland
Matt’s aspiration is to compete in the London 2012 Olympics and the 21-year-old is well on his way.
With a professional contract for this season with PSV Eindhoven underway Matt is looking to help the team through European qualification and beyond.
One of Britain’s best goalkeepers, Matt won Top Goalkeeper at the 2009 Mithat Hantel Memorial Water Polo Tournament in Turkey.
Glen Robinson
Glen Robinson has been a regular for Britain for a number of years and played a key role in the junior team’s success. Now with the seniors Glen is looking to help propel the Brits to Olympic qualification.
He recently signed a professional contract with Rapid Bucharest in Romania for the 2010/2011 season.
Richard Lawlor
Having made his senior international debut in 2008, Richard has been a British regular ever since.
The 21-year-old has signed a professional contract this season with PSV Eindhoven and thinks the best thing about playing there is getting to compete in the stadium.
Ciaran James
One of the youngest members of the squad, Ciaran played his first senior international last year against Slovenia.
He has captained the GB Junior team and won Most Valuable Player at an international tournament in Olhao, Portugal. Ciaran counts scoring a goal against the Romanian national team this year as one of the highlights of his international career.
Jack Waller
Hailing from East Sussex, 21-year-old Jack Waller has made big steps since his senior international debut in 2007.
The centre forward has signed a professional contract with German club SV Wieden for the 2010/2011 season and considers the best part of playing in Germany to be “the food”.
With aspirations to compete in the Olympics, Jack believes that to be a good Water Polo player you should always be willing to learn.
Dean Smith
Dean was part of the British Youth team from 2007 and as part of one of Britain’s biggest Water Polo family – with sisters Casey and Jade playing for Britain, and mum Debbie acting as Team Manager at a number of tournaments – it was no wonder the 19-year-old is involved.
Currently based at the High Performance Centre in Manchester and a City of Manchester regular, Dean is one of Britain’s top players to watch for the future.
Dan Laxton
One of the newest members of the British senior team Dan competed at the recent European qualifier match in Georgia and is hoping to be a regular fixture on the international scene.
With London 2012 in his sights he has signed a professional contract for the 2010/2011 season with Dutch club Amersfoort.
Joe O’Regan
Joining the British seniors last year, Joe has been a regular in the City of Manchester squad helping them to achieve silver last year in the National League.
This season Joe has played with the British senior team at the President’s Cup in Poland and in their recent European qualifier against Georgia.
