Go Swimming has everything you need to know about swimming. If you are a parent, a non swimmer or just want to improve your technique this is the section for you.

In British Swimming you will find information about the world of high performance sport, including the disciplines of Swimming, Diving, Synchronised Swimming, Water Polo and Para-Swimming.

The ASA is the governing body for the sport in England. In this section you will find all you need to know about joining a club or competing in England and becoming a swimming teacher or coach.

The IoS delivers the ASA’s courses and is a member organisation. Whether you are a teacher, coach, employer or club you will find everything you need to know about qualifications or educating your workforce.

Rosie Huck

After winning the ASA National Age Group Junior title with City of Manchester in 2012, Rosie Huck’s international career gathered momentum the following season.

At just 16, she was the youngest member of the British team to reach the quarter finals and finish eighth at the World Under 20 Championships in Greece, then captained the Under 17 team to 10th place at the European Junior Championships a few weeks later.

Her junior performances earned her a call-up to the senior squad and she made her senior debut alongside City of Manchester teammate Katy Andrews in a World League match against Russia in March 2014.

The following month, she helped the English women to Commonwealth gold in Aberdeen, then played in the historic World League defeat of world champions Spain in Manchester in April.

When did you start playing water polo: When I was 11 - I was coached by Chloe Wilcox.

Studies: Sixth form.

Other sports: Swimming.

Ultimate relaxation: Sleeping!

One thing you can’t live without: My iPhone.

Tip for the top: Train hard and sleep lots!

Life after water polo: More sleeping / a degree.
