As well as battling for the British title, the cream of British swimming will be bidding for the chance to represent GB at August’s World Championships in Shanghai.
Whether it’s Rebecca Adlington continuing her three-pronged attack on the freestyle events, Fran Halsall and Hannah Miley holding off the pretenders to their sprint ...and medley crowns or the continued rivalry between Gemma Spofforth and Lizzie Simmonds, there’s plenty on offer in the women’s events.
World champion Liam Tancock and double Commonwealth champion James Goddard will both be looking to lay down markers after both finished in the top five in last year’s world rankings for two different events (Tancock - 50m, 100m backstroke, Goddard, 200m backstroke, 200m individual medley).
Meanwhile, the likes of Joe Roebuck, Michael Rock, Michael Jamieson and Antony James will be looking to continue their progression through the rankings ahead of 2012.
