Richmond Dales Amateur Swimming Club (RDASC) is looking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced individual to lead the coaching team. Applicants should be qualified to UKCC Level 3 standard, and have extensive experience of coaching youth aged swimmers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall direction of the club, whilst planning and delivering the daily training program for our top squad.

Key Roles and responsibilities include (but may not be limited to):

  1. Provide proactive leadership, direction and club management for RDASC coaches, volunteers, parents and athletes.

  2. Design and implement a high quality annual coaching, training and competition strategy for swimmers of all abilities.

  3. Design and implement an effective land training/S&C program.

  4. Design and implement a squad structure to include entry, commitment and exit criteria for each squad.

  5. Coach a squad of competitive/performance level swimmers, ensuring each reaches their potential and achieves their individual objectives.

  6. Design and implement a parent and athlete education program.

  7. Maintain effective communication with pool operators to secure pool and land training facilities.

  8. Maintain effective relationships with Learn to Swim operators to ensure swimmers are recruited into the program at the correct age/ability.

  9. Regular liaison with key partners including the ASA England Talent staff, lead Beacon coaches and Durham Hub coaches.

  10. Attend and coach at swim meets throughout the season as required.

  11. Contribute to the attainment of swim 21 accreditation.

  12. Attend Meetings with RDASC Board when required.

  13. Determine the coaching rota and allocation of pool space for each squad.
