Amersham Swimming Club is looking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic head coach, qualified to UKCC Level 3 (or Level 2 qualified working towards Level 3), full time from autumn 2014. The purpose of this role is to continue our highly successful competitive and development coaching programmes.

Amersham Swimming Club is a successful competitive swimming club with a track record of punching well above its weight at County, Regional, National and NASL level. With over 200 members, squads range from those preparing to compete, through junior competitors to masters, and includes open water competitors and triathletes. The club also has affiliated learn-to-swim and diving clubs. The club is Swim21 accredited and provides the opportunity for its members to progress in their swimming careers to all levels.

The club has a long tradition of success built around key values of sporting excellence, team work, swimmer welfare and a family orientated inclusive club.

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic head coach to set direction and lead our strong team of swimming coaches and volunteers, enabling the club to fulfil the true potential of its swimmers. The right candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a high quality coaching programme, including training and competition strategies, across all abilities within the Club and enhancing the Club’s long term development, as well as playing a key role in the Club’s interaction with other local clubs.

Applicants should have the ability and credibility to motivate; develop and encourage each individual swimmer to reach their full potential; excellent communication skills; and the ability to build strong relationships between swimmers, parents and coaches.
