The continued growth of the club means that we are seeking a further coaches to lead our programme. This is an opportunity for a coach to lead the programming and coaching within our existing Junior Competitive squad, Potential 2 and 3 squads, and the Platinum Academy. The Junior squads cover the age range between 8 to 14 years and many reach county and regional level as they reach the Junior Competitive squad. They also compete in the Milton Keynes Junior League and various members also get selected for the Arena National League teams (A, B & C teams).
We expect the poolside coaching commitment of this role to be between 24-26 hours per week with additional preparation and administration.
The coach will work with the head of competitive and development and alongside our other coaches in the delivery of the training programme. This will be a great opportunity to develop your coaching skills as part of a high performing team in a nationally recognised leading swimming club.
You should have a minimum Level 2 coaching qualification and experience of working with swimmers in this age range.
The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate a strong ability to coach the age groups and clearly show their love of coaching swimming. You should understand and have a sound knowledge of the essential skills and behaviours that swimmers should develop within the junior programme in order to reach their full potential. You will be keen to support those skills by the provision of quality learning and competitive opportunities.
