Swim England, based in Loughborough, are seeking a national synchronised swimming coach to join our team on a temporary basis, covering maternity leave. This is an exciting opportunity working within the Talent Development department. You will be responsible for coaching the senior duet on a day to day basis, the top England Talent Squad during training sessions/camps, and assisting in the development of the performance environment of the athlete’s day to day training environments.
The role is for 20 hours per week. You will be home based with weekly travel to Bristol and Aldershot.
Swim England is the national governing body for swimming in England. We help people learn how to swim, enjoy the water, and compete in our sports of swimming, diving, water polo and synchronised swimming.
Reporting to the England Synchro manager you will be responsible for delivering coaching and providing technical expertise at all England/GB training camps/sessions and at identified domestic and international competitions for junior and senior athletes. You will have an in-depth knowledge of synchro coaching and a supporting understanding of the various sports science, medicine and performance lifestyle disciplines and how they along with coaching create a progressive elite environment.
The successful candidate must:
- Have a relevant coaching qualification
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Have knowledge of the GB talent pathway and club environments
- Have the ability to plan, implement and manage complex programmes of work within agreed timelines.
