Dorset ASA County Team Champs

Dorset have become something of a yo-yo team at the County Team Championships in recent years, having gained promotion to the top flight in 2006, 2008, 2011 and 2014.

They will be hoping to pick up another promotion in 2016, having been relegated from Division One in 19th place last time out.

The silver lining was Jacob Peters’ performance in the 14/15 Yrs age group, bringing home maximum points in both the 100m Butterfly and 100m Backstroke.

Dorset will look to Peters for some more points in the top age group this year, coming into the event on the back of the 50m, 100m and 200m Fly treble at this year’s British Summer Championships.

The county have plenty of other chances for big points scores this year, not least Bournemouth Collegiate School’s Harriet Perfect, who holds the fastest entry time in the 16/17 Yrs 100m Back and made the 100m and 200m Back finals at this year’s British Summer Champs.

Finn Trehane was a medallist at the same meet, taking bronze in the 50m Breast, while City of St Albans’ Ella Chown won the 12/13 Yrs 50m Fly title at the 2016 ASA Summer Nationals.
