Somerset ASA County Team Champs

Somerset finished third for the second time in the county’s history last season, breaking 400 points for the third time in four seasons.

Huw Williams was their sole event winner on the day, bringing home maximum points in the 12/13 100m Butterfly.

The Millfield swimmer has gone from strength to strength since last year, winning 100m Freestyle gold and silvers over 100m Fly and 200m Free at this year’s British Summer Championships.

Clubmates Brodie Williams and Rachel Anderson both scooped four individual medals from the same meet while Bradford-on-Avon’s William Mitchell won 50m Breast silver and 100m Breast bronze.

The county also call on two-time European Junior bronze medallist Emma Cain, who has finished third, fifth and second at her three previous County Team Champs between 2012 and 2014.
