Having been relegated in 2014, Warwickshire nearly made an immediate return to the top flight as they finished sixth on 427 points in Division Two last year.
The girls’ 12/13 Yrs 4x50m Medley Relay quartet of Lily Wood, Charlotte Rigg, Sophie Yendell and Madeleine Hoare picked up the county’s only race win of the day.
The county do have a previous individual winner in their squad, in the form of City of Birmingham’s Ben Stanford, who claimed maximum points in the 14/15 Yrs 100m Free three years ago.
He returns for his final year at a County Team Championships, having finished second in the 16/17 Yrs 100m Free last year and since won 100m Free silver and 200m Free bronze at the 2016 ASA Summer Nationals.
Erin Davies reached the podium at the same meet, lifting 200m IM gold as well as 100m Breast silver and 400m Free bronze.
Meanwhile, in the middle age group, Caitlin Hubbard finished fourth over 200m Fly at the British Summer Championships while teammate Alex Bartley won bronze in the 400m IM at the same meet.
City of Coventry’s Eva Vicary was just 0.2 seconds shy of the podium in the 16 Yrs 200m Free at the British Summer Champs while teammate Lauren Cox won bronze in the 15 Yrs 100m Back.
