Daley and Reid win World Series silver in Beijing

Tom Daley and Grace Reid won Mixed 3m Synchro silver on day two of the opening leg of the 2018 FINA Diving World Series in Beijing.

In a repeat of last year’s World Championship in Budapest, the British pair finished sandwiched between China’s Li Zheng and Wang Han, and Canada’s Jennifer Abel and Francois Imbeau-Dulac.

Daley and Scottish partner Reid scored 308.67 for their five dives, trailing Li and Wang by 22.83 points.

The pair started with 98.40 for their requireds, before scores of 70.20, 66.60 and finally, 73.47 in their optionals.

Second World Series medal for Daley

The result brings Daley his second medal in as many days, having won 10m Synchro bronze with Dan Goodfellow on the opening day of competition in China.

Goodfellow was also in action on day two, competing in the individual 3m.

The City of Leeds diver scored 411.60 in his semi-final, finishing ninth overall.
