Tom Daley named European diver of the year for 2017

Tom Daley has been named LEN European male diver of the year for the third time in his career.

Daley won the World Championship title for 10m Platform in Budapest last year.

The result brought Daley his third World title, having won the 10m crown for the first time in 2009, then landed Mixed Team gold alongside Rebecca Gallantree in 2015.

The 23-year old was also named European diver of the year after both previous World titles.

British Diving have now scooped the continental honour for the past three years.

City of Leeds’ Jack Laugher won the prize in 2016 after claiming 3m bronze and 3m Synchro gold with Chris Mears at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
