The ASA is the governing body for the sport in England. In this section you will find all you need to know about joining a club or competing in England and becoming a swimming teacher or coach.

The IoS delivers the ASA’s courses and is a member organisation. Whether you are a teacher, coach, employer or club you will find everything you need to know about qualifications or educating your workforce.

Presented to a swimmer who has had their swimming success later in life, for example, overcoming obstacles in their quest to achieve.

2007 Winner

Gold: Sarah Borley; Cardiff
Sarah has been an active Masters swimmer for 20 years, gaining world, British and Welsh titles. In 2006 she had major kidney surgery, made a full recovery and trained hard to compete in the World Police and Fire Games in March 2007, in Australia.
