Age 13
Emma was nominated by the RLSS after she saved the life of an elderly man who had collapsed after suffering a heart attack. By administering CPR until the police and paramedics arrived – skills she learn by attending Rookie Lifeguard, the RLSS's Junior lifesaving and water safety programme – she helped to save his life.
