Huddersfield Grammar School is a co-educational, preparatory school for children from age three to age 16. The school aims to prepare their students academically, socially and morally for the next stage of their lives and swimming is a key part of this process. The school, who have their swimming lessons at the McAlpine Stadium Pool, clinched the award for having scored the most points overall in all the Dolphin Award categories. Points are awarded for each pupil depending on how far they have swum, e.g. Dolphin 100m = 5points, Dolphin 50m =4 points, etc.
