Becoming An Official

Swimming officials must work as a team during competitions to make sure rules are followed, safety is at its highest, and fairness is observed. A keen eye for detail and a love for the sport are also essential.

If you are under 25 visit the young officials section in the ASA zone to find out about becoming an official, and hear other young officials' stories.Officiating is essential to the success of swimming competitions in the UK and without the support of dedicated officials who give up their time for free, events simply would just not happen.
