Kellogg’s boost for school swimming

14 May 2012

Kellogg’s has announced a funding package of £100,000, which can be used for school swimming projects that will help increase the number of children learning to swim in the areas that need it most.

Any club, school, pool operator, community organisation or social enterprise, which is a non profit making organisation delivering swim-based activity within the community, can apply for the funding.

Along with the ASA and the Swimming Trust, we’re looking to fund swim based activity for Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3 students, adding value to the school swim programme, addressing gaps within learn to swim programmes and taking place outside the school curriculum timetable.

Projects must compliment existing delivery of swimming NOT replace it.

The National Awarding Panel of the Kellogg’s Swim Active Grant will meet during the week of 12th June 2012 and 6th August 2012.
